Parker Genné is an Artist and Educator from Minneapolis, who has been bringing her hit cabaret comedy show Ms. Luisa Eats to stages in Minneapolis, San Francisco, New York and Scotland since 2008.
With co-collaborator Emilia Allen, Parker launched a new music-theater company, Impossible Salt- a roving troupe of musical storytellers that create original work inspired by folk and fairytales. At the 2014 Minnesota Fringe Festival, the Star Tribune said of their premier production, Tatterhood, “Genné is feral in the title role…in this wildly imaginative production.” Genné has appeared in numerous theater, music-theater and musical productions with The Moving Company, Walker Art Center and others and works as a lead Teaching Artist, Program Coordinator and Performer for KairosAlive!. Kairos Alive! is an award-winning social impact organization powered by the arts, that transforms lives through dance, music, story and theater.
Her successful cabaret show, Ms. Luisa Eats, has had much acclaim at both the Edinburgh and Minnesota Fringe Festivals and continues to grace stages, cafes, senior centers and Lawrence University reunions nationally.
